Ingredients:
DOUGH
- 140 g self-raising flour
- 2,5 ml salt
- 100 g FIRST CHOICE Full fat yoghurt
- 40 g FIRST CHOICE butter, melted
TOMATO SAUCE
- 1 very small garlic clove, crushed50ml tomato paste
- 30ml tomato sauce
- 5ml olive oil
- 5ml dried oregano
- 2,5ml paprika
- salt and black pepper to taste
TOPPING
- 200 g FIRST CHOICE Pizza cheese
- 120 g moist biltong slices
- 60 g drained lightly chopped peppedews
- Fresh rocket leaves
Preparation method:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C
- Grease a cast iron pan very well with olive oil.
- Mix together the self-raising flour and salt. Combine the yoghurt and the melted butter and add to the flour. Mix until it starts to come together, then turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes to make the dough. Rest the dough for 15 minutes
- Roll out onto a floured surface to fit your pan.
- Cook the pizza base on one side on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown then place it in the oven to bake for 5 minutes to get the top golden brown too.
- Remove from the oven and brush generously with olive oil.
- Combine all the ingredients for the tomato sauce and spread it evenly on the pizza, top with the cheese and peppedews, then return to the oven and bake until the cheese has melted (10-15 minutes)
- Top with the biltong and fresh rocket.
- Serve immediately.
