Ingredients:

  • 2 sirloin steaks
  • 40g FIRST CHOICE Butter
  • 1ml chili flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 5ml smoked paprika
  • 15ml Sriracha sauce
  • 5ml FIRST CHOICE Honey
  • 1 avocado, sliced or cubed
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 8 crispy tacos MANGO SALSA
  • 1 mango, peeled and chopped
  • 1 lime, juice and zested
  • 30ml chopped fresh coriander
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation method:

  1. Melt the butter and add the chili, garlic and smoked paprika – fry steaks on both sides to medium. Remove from heat and rest the steaks for 10 minutes before seasoning with salt.
  2. Meanwhile add the Sriracha sauce and honey to the frying pan, return to the heat for about 30 seconds then drain the sauce to get the spicy butter. Keep warm and aside for drizzling on the tacos just before serving.
  3. Combine the salsa ingredients and mix well.

TO ASSEMBLE:

  1. Slice the steak into slivers and divide between the crispy tacos.
  2. Top as desired with shredded lettuce, avocado, salsa and drizzle with the butter sauce just before serving.
